We're proud to have the internet's only non-promotional, non-commercial, non-affiliate, advertising-free discussion forum for network marketing: please help us to keep it this way. Thank you! ...
Please be aware that the staff's main aim is to ensure that this forum is free from spam and other processed meats, advertising, blatant promotion, rudeness, aggression, hostility, Russian expletives, character attacks, gratuitous personal comments and unpleasantness. Please don't flame, or even lightly char-grill because you can't do it as well as we can anyway and you'll be sorry. "Flaming" means posting messages which are angry, mean-spirited, deliberately provocative or otherwise unpleasant or undesirable. The Forum is a friendly place, so please help us to keep it that way.
You're welcome (within reason, subject to these rules, the Geneva Convention, the Kyoto agreement and the whims of the Moderators and Administrators) to include in your profile web-link and/or signature-file your commercial links, e.g. to your websites, blogs, squeeze pages, massage-parlors, etc., but please keep them out of the text of your posts and don't try to circumvent this principle by making posts, or sending private messages, designed specifically or primarily to draw attention to such links.
Please don't post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, harmful, racially or religiously offensive, invasive of a person's privacy or otherwise objectionable - how many adjectives do you need, anyway?
Please don't discuss the management, administration and policies of the forum (or of any other forum!) on the board. If you have observations, suggestions, comments or whatever else to be offered, the appropriate way to air them is to send one of the staff a p.m., which will typically receive prompt and courteous attention the following a.m. Open discussion of the forum's management, administration and policies will detract from the valuable resource to network marketers that the forum can otherwise become.
Please don't use more than one login. We understand that two people sharing an office or home might have only one internet connection, but if you want two memberships using the same IP number, please have a convincing reason and be willing to discuss it by email, phone, carrier-pigeon and/or smoke-signals.
Please be aware that although we don't normally display them to members, the forum software records the IP number from which every post is made. Please don't disguise your IP number and/or identity by unnecessarily using a proxy server. We weren't born yesterday (especially Timothy - he's really old) and such posts/members won't remain here for long.
Please don't spam, and please don't post the same (or substantially similar) message more than once.
Please don't advertise, other than in your profile web-link and/or signature-file. Advertisements and solicitations, whether network marketing related or not, are all inappropriate for this forum (there's always a catch). Please feel free to mention sites, products or services which you think are useful and which are on-topic, but only if neither you, nor your bank manager, nor your cousin's girlfriend's cousin personally benefit from promoting them. Please include URLs only of sites which are suitable. Unsuitable sites include but are not limited to those with racist material, anything which encourages illegal or otherwise undesirable activities, and sites which purely promote commercial products (other than shoes) or services without also containing material which enhances the subject matter.
Please appreciate clearly that the primary purpose of any link given in your signature-file in this forum is to inform interested fellow-members what your business is, not to advertise/promote your lead-capture page. If your intention in joining us is simply to promote your own business, you have really come to the wrong place!
Please don't breach anyone's copyright: breach not, that ye be not breached, as the saying goes.
Please don't post anyone else's email address, contact details, instant messaging number and so on. Please don't reveal any personal information of any nature about another person and especially not about Jack Bastide because we've heard it all before anyway. If you choose to include your own email address or contact details in a post, be aware that anyone on the internet will be able to read it, and you'll almost certainly get unwanted attention as a result. (On the other hand, if you're desperate, ...).
Please don't impersonate others. And especially not me.
Please don't quote contents or any details of private messages on the board, or anywhere else, without the sender's express permission.
Please don't include an email address or a URL in your username.
Please don't put images in signature-files.
Please don't use our forum (by posting, private messaging or email harvesting) to generate traffic for any other forum or website - doing this really goes against all basic "netiquette". We don't necessarily mind specific topics in other forums, blogs and websites being mentioned and even linked to, especially in answer to any legitimate question that may have been asked, but we may delete posts that, in our judgment, mention or link to elsewhere for the primary purpose of encouraging our members to participate elsewhere. Most forums don't think of that one - ha!
Please be aware that membership of this Forum is a privilege and not a right, and please treat the forum and all its members accordingly. However strong your opinions, please don't expect completely unfettered free speech here: this is a privately owned and privately funded forum free from advertising and any commercial interest, and whereas people are in principle welcome to join us, we'll tire rapidly of anyone whose manner of expression persistently annoys us. We don't want a forum in which nobody has opinions: we want one in which members have opinions and are both able and willing to express them without offending other members more than is absolutely necessary. If you want to be able to speak your mind completely freely, without giving a thought for the consequences, for our rules and for your fellow-members' feelings, then there really are other forums which will suit you better than this one. And please don't expect to be allowed to promote a "gifting scheme" or "alkaline water" or "alkalizing product" here, because they're scams!
All messages and postings submitted here are the responsibility of their authors and not of The Network Marketing Forum or its owners. The fact that something is posted here doesn't mean that we endorse its message, nor that we've verified its accuracy or helpfulness nor that we even understand it in the first place. We reserve the right (although we certainly don't intend to exercise it officiously) to reject, censor, modify or delete any post without members' consent and without necessarily supplying a reason (although we certainly intend to whenever practicable, should it arise). By using this forum, you're granting The Network Marketing Forum and its owners an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, fully assignable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, sublicense, perform and display any content that you submit, in whole or in part, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed. (No, we don't quite know what it all means either, and have at the moment absolutely no intention of doing any of that, but we decided to include it anyway, because you never know when someone will post the libretto of a new opera which will be worth marketing. I can see it now: "Your Downline Army" by Tony Rush, or something.
There are separate posts in the Staff Announcements forum about "Private Messages" and all sorts of other administrative stuff, which are also worth reading if you like that kind of thing. Any technical questions about the mechanics of using the forum (but not about our policies, as explained above) should be asked in the "Computer/Techie" forum, please. _________________ Jana
