HOW TO JOIN (AND WHY)
Registration Procedure
Click the button near the top of the page that says "register" and fill in the form. You need to provide an email address, and it needs to be a real one, otherwise your account can't be activated. The only people who ever need to be able to see your email address are the site Administrators and Moderators. You'll never receive any fan-mail junk mail by having provided it. We'll never give, sell or lend it to anyone else at all. It will become visible to other members only if that's what you want and choose.
At the moment, judging by what bounces, the email system which seems least reliable at receiving mail sent out by forum software (ours and others, too) is aol. If this is your normal email server, and you also have some alternative, web-based address (e.g. a hotmail, fastmail, gmail or yahoo one), we therefore recommend that you use the alternative instead - but don't forget that that's where your "forum notifications" (of subscribed thread updates, incoming private messages and so on - all optional) will also go.
Members' accounts are activated (i.e. you will be able to post) only after first exchanging emails with one of the staff. The purpose of this is to invite people to read the Rules and clearly indicate their ability and willingness to adhere to them before we let them loose activate their profiles. If you don't see an automated email from us after filling in the online form to become a member, please check your spam/junk folder, in case it arrived there instead of in your inbox, and add the email address "admin@thenetworkmarketingforum.com" to your safe-list.
Guests are free to read, but not to post. But why would you want to do that regularly without registering to become a member? If you become a member, you're part of our community and that's a good thing to be. Also, it makes it very easy to post the occasional message congratulating people on some of their excellent, profitable and productive wisdom and their incisive wit and their shoes. And there might even be some discussions in which you'll decide you have something to say, once you've joined.
There's one additional advantage of being a member, and logging in (either automatically or manually) when you visit the forum: you'll be able to click on "view posts since last visit", a very useful gadget which the webmaster has kindly installed for us.
