Email addresses
This forum's administrative email address is admin@thenetworkmarketingforum.com .
Please don't include an email address (or a url) in your username.
It's up to you whether you want your email address to be visible in your profile (and thereby automatically as an "email" button in your posts). The default state is that it won't be, but you can change that in your profile options, if you wish. We advise against it, because if you show your email address to people in this sort of context, sooner or later you will start receiving spam, and it gets worse, too: the sort of people who will send you spam will include those who (often for good reasons) have great difficulty promoting their scumbag "opportunities" in any other, more legitimate ways. We will never give your email address to anyone else, but please appreciate that Yuliya will be able to see it, whatever you do: you just can't hide stuff from her, but she's no stalker. _________________ Jana

I'd just like to remind all members of a couple of things regarding email addresses.
If you click on "my profile" at the top, you'll see among the options displayed that you have the choice of whether or not to show your email address. If you elect "yes", that'll display an "email" button in all your posts, and it'll mean that anyone can see your email address in your profile, in the same way. The "default setting" for these functions is "no".
Recently, Yuliya, Timothy and I have all received several items of email spam from a former member here, which was unfortunately sent in the form of emails sent out to groups of people displaying openly the email addresses of all recipients (rather than being sent as "BCC"s). Since then, we've all also been receiving additional spam from other recipients of these original spam emails. The member concerned denied all responsibility for this (and claimed "spoofing"), though the IP number from which the emails originated was indeed the same as that from which former, legitimate private correspondence had arrived from the same person.
Such things can always happen online. Please be aware that if you display your email address in a forum, or if you choose to correspond by email with people who are "building lists" and so on, your own email address may end up being more widely circulated than you'd prefer. _________________ Jana
