It is definitely very scary what can be found in almost all of the skin care products which we use on a daily basis.
Another good resource is www.yourskinandyou.net
I personally use Sense` skin care products from Usana Health Sciences. Sense` is a preservative free self preserving skin care line. Sense` was featured at different Oscars parties last weekend, and many of the celebrities loved it.
I personally use the products for shaving and love the way my skin feels after, without any nasty burning sensation.

Yes, it is very scary what is in our personal care products and make-up! That's why we use Arbonne products in our home. These products have made a HUGE difference in my hair & skin. My hair use to come out in clumps when I would distribute my conditioner with my fingers. I found the culprit to be Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Putting pure products on my hair, I have noticed I am not losing my hair as much & only have to clean out my brush once every two weeks!  I think any ingredient that can cause a person health problems should be banned, but we know that isn't going to happen.

Noooo, I suspect it's not enforceable, or politically acceptable, really ... and just about any ingredient can cause people health problems, for example if they're allergic to it.

If someone has an allergy, they have a breakdown in their immune system. A healthy immune system will fight off allergens.

Well ...
Allergy is actually the result of "too much" immune system reaction, not a breakdown in the immune system; rather the opposite, really. "Breakdown in the immune system" leads to catching every passing infection, not to allergy. Breaking down the immune system actually reduces allergies.

Well, they won't be "allergens" if someone's perfectly healthy, will they? What makes "allergens" allergenic is the immune system's being hyperactive/hypersensitized, overblown, boosted too much, or however you like to put it.
